Dr. Genovese is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.  She practices with Genovese Medical and with the office of Curtis F. Robinson MD, Inc., in Mill Valley, California, the first medical practice in Marin County to achieve national recognition as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, the highest level, by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

A native of Northern California, Dr. Genovese spent several years providing medical care on the East Coast before returning home.  After serving as the Chief Resident of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Genovese joined Winthrop University Hospital as an attending physician, was a preceptor at the University of Stony Brook School of Medicine and practiced at Cardiovascular Medical Associates in Garden City, New York.

Dr. Genovese’s medical philosophy is informed by the full spectrum of her medical practice; Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, General Hospital Medicine, Telemetry and long term outpatient care.  She embraces the integrative medical tenants of treating the entire patient, recognizing their individual needs and looking to the best scientific evidence to support all medical interventions.

She honed her skills treating substance dependence and comorbid disorders on the front line of medicine in primary care.

Dr. Genovese has joined Allies for Change as a consulting primary care physician because she believes that the only effective approach to supporting her patients in the healing process is through a collaborative team approach.
