A native of Northern California, Dr. Genovese spent
several years providing medical care on the East Coast
before returning home. After serving as the Chief Resident

Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Genovese joined
Winthrop University Hospital as an attending physician,
was a preceptor at the University of Stony Brook School of
Medicine and practiced at Cardiovascular Medical
Associates in Garden City, New York.

Dr. Genovese’s medical philosophy is informed by the full
spectrum of her medical practice; Emergency Room,
Intensive Care Unit, General Hospital Medicine, Telemetry
and long term outpatient care. She embraces the
integrative medical tenants of treating the entire patient,
recognizing their individual needs and looking to the best
scientific evidence to support all medical interventions.
She honed her skills treating substance dependence and
comorbid disorders on the front line of medicine in
primary care.
