Eating for Healing

Why you should eat for healing

Cellular destruction is a by-product of the stress and worry that comes with unpredictable drastic changes. At this moment in history, we are being called upon to deal with unimaginable changes every single day. Therefore, we need to restore ourselves on a cellular level, and we need to keep that process very simple.

Now is not the time for sophisticated nutritional plans. Our goal should simply be to keep our cells functioning as optimally as possible. After practicing eating for healing strategies, my clients often report decreases in pain, anxiety, and sugar cravings, along with increases in their sense of well-being and energy levels. So I want to bring that information to all of you!!

How to eat for healing

Protein is the building block of cellular repair. Set an intention to eat a few bites of protein every two to three hours. I suggest real protein (not a complete diet of protein bars). Taking the time and making an effort to stock protein-rich foods like meat, chicken, milk, eggs, tofu, beans, nuts, nut butter, and protein powder will pay off at the highest level. Five minutes on the internet will get you started in choosing the right protein sources for your particular lifestyle.

Tips on implementing Protein Washing

  • Just as an essential strategy for staying hydrated called for a little work upfront...so it goes for “protein washing.” Gather your protein sources for the day in the morning or the night before to help you be consistent.

  • When at home or away, it is also beneficial to have a small personal cooler available to centralize your supplies and reduce resistance.

  • And don’t forget to bring in support for making these small changes in your lifestyle. Change does not happen in a vacuum. Try setting a “protein washing” intention with a friend or family member. Check-in with each other by using a simple emoji text to remember to take a few bites. Take time to notice how you feel with this simple intervention.

  •  And remember:

I hope you find this information uplifting and helpful. If you know someone who might benefit from this information, please pass it on.

If you or someone you love needs my help directly in this time of the shelter in place, I am available for telephone consultations for health, well being, and pain management.
