I know the challenges that come with making even the smallest changes and just how important support is in the process.

So I will be in touch with you in the weeks ahead to support you in keeping those self-care strategies at the forefront of your thinking. I will be reviewing each strategy with additional information about the importance of their practice and how to feel their rewards.

Hydration: Decrease your stress and boost your immune system.

We all know that staying moist is essential to maintain optimum health, mitigate stress, and keep our cells viable and able to restore themselves. And yet it's a difficult challenge in my clinical experience. Just knowing does not translate into doing.

Tips and Tricks

  • Consciously prepare yourself to stay hydrated because none of us will do it automatically. Ask yourself:

    • What kind of container do I like drinking out of?

    • Is it easily portable?

    • Do I need more than one container in different locations?

  • Try filling and refrigerating a full container of water the night before. Set a reminder on one of your devices to check in with yourself. And remember….

  • Consider a hydration buddy. Having someone to support your desired changes is very powerful and effective. This is also an excellent way to stay connected to one another! No one changes in a vacuum.

  • How can you tell if you are sufficiently hydrated? Your urine should be light yellow or almost clear.

I hope you find this information uplifting and helpful. If you know someone who might benefit from this information, please pass it on.
